The Orange Signs Continue
You've seen the orange "Keep Northeast Safe - 30 MPH - Please Slow Down" yard signs we planted along Johnson Street in our neighborhood. Now we are rolling out to Lowry Avenue NE. If you live or have a business on the south side of Lowry Avenue NE between Central Avenue and Stinson Parkway in the Windom Park neighborhood and would like us to place a sign in your yard, please let us know. Send your name, address, phone and email to WPCiA at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We will place the sign (no signs are allowed in boulevards per city ordinance) and then remove it later this year in order to keep this campaign fresh and eye-catching.
June Meeting Date Change

So that everyone can enjoy the Northeast Parade on June 21, we have changed the date of our regular Neighborhood Meeting this month to June 14, a week earlier than usual. Same start time (7 p.m.) and same location (Windom Park Recreation Center, 2251 Hayes St. NE).

All are welcome to join us. We'll be hearing a presentation on the proposed Great Northern Greenway, and we'll get a state capital update from Sen. Kari Dziedzic. You'll get to vote on WPCiA's annual budget, as well as discuss the city's proposed ordinance changes to allow "intentional communities" and to require landlords to accept Section 8 housing vouchers. There will be Open Forum, where you are welcome to speak out about anything on your mind, as well as Committee Updates.

If It's Tuesday, Your Windom Park Neighbors Are In Action

  • door weather stripping
  • water heater blanket
  • programmable thermostat
  • compact fluorescent light bulbs
  • high-efficiency showerheads
  • faucet aerators
