Our Mission

Windom Park Citizens in Action (WPCiA) works to promote the betterment of the neighborhood through the following objectives:

encourage widespread citizen participation in all decision-making processes affecting the Windom Park neighborhood;

develop a sense of community in the Windom Park neighborhood;

provide mechanisms for neighborhood residents to be well-informed on issues and activities affecting their neighborhood;

enhance and maintain the physical, social, economic, cultural and recreational environment of the neighborhood;

offer financial support and participation in recreational and social service groups at Windom Park;

promote community safety, crime prevention, neighborhood attractiveness, and commercial and housing quality in a nondiscriminatory manner.

WPCiA is a neighborhood-based nonprofit 501(c)3 organization with tax-exempt status. It is the city-designated citizen participation organization for this geographic area of Minneapolis, as well as the NRP contracting organization for the Windom Park neighborhood.
